WELCOME FIGHT FANS!
@  DaveMurphy : (24 May 2013 - 10:30 PM) Change my Avatar in an attempt to get my Blackhawks scoring some goals,  this Red Wing series is pissing me off :)
@  DaveMurphy : (24 May 2013 - 10:21 PM) Damn, they sure started that one early.
@  Erik : (24 May 2013 - 09:19 PM) And fight is over so if gonna avoid spoilers , start now
@  Erik : (24 May 2013 - 09:18 PM) No not in france
@  DaveMurphy : (24 May 2013 - 08:46 PM) I always distrust fights there ever since the Accaries Brothers (AB Stars) had several hometown robberies.
@  DaveMurphy : (24 May 2013 - 08:45 PM) Was that one in France also?
@  Erik : (24 May 2013 - 08:26 PM) was a good competetive fight
@  DaveMurphy : (24 May 2013 - 08:23 PM) Yeah, I saw he stopped Botha, so I figure he must have some power, not too many people have.
@  Erik : (24 May 2013 - 08:22 PM) His fight with Botha was actually decent
@  Erik : (24 May 2013 - 08:20 PM) Its actually a pretty interesting fight, may look for a download
@  Erik : (24 May 2013 - 08:20 PM) Yeah unless Grants agressive and goes for the KO not sure how well he does.
@  DaveMurphy : (24 May 2013 - 08:18 PM) Jake, if the fight was in the USA, I'd probably take Grant, but I NEVER trust any fight that happens in France with a French fighter, and certainly NEVER a fight run by the WBF.  My guess is the Ref will be Takam's Uncle and he'll wave it off at some point in the mid-to-late rounds if Grant so much as stumbles.
@  Erik : (24 May 2013 - 07:53 PM) Only lost liek once in past 9 years.
@  Erik : (24 May 2013 - 07:52 PM) Yeah, Grant hasnt been that bad lately
@  Erik : (24 May 2013 - 07:50 PM) Hello
@  CMurray : (24 May 2013 - 06:25 PM) I just picked him because I believe that Grant is shot
@  lololol : (24 May 2013 - 05:16 PM) i don't know this takam guy, but he's fought nobody, and never outside of france, there are no odds that i can find on the fight, yet everyone is picking him. i miss something?
@  Erik : (24 May 2013 - 04:06 AM) See ya
@  lololol : (24 May 2013 - 04:05 AM) Night, Chris.
@  CMurray : (24 May 2013 - 04:05 AM) The countdown is in full force

Froch-Oosthuizen Negotiations Continue For The Fall
Posted by: Boxing Clever on 8/5/2012 .

Tommy “Tommy Gun” Oosthuizen is taking aim at International Boxing Federation (IBF) champion Carl Froch, following the defence of his International Boxing Organisation (IBO) super middleweight title against American fighter Rowland Bryant in New York on Friday.
Golden Gloves promoter Rodney Berman, who was ringside for the Oosthuizen-Bryant bout, says negotiations are close to being concluded for Oosthuizen to meet the highly-regarded, British-based Froch in America in October.
Oosthuizen's trainer, Harold Volbrecht, and manager, Brian Mitchell, believe their charge is ready to take on the big-punching Briton, who boasts 21 knock-outs among his 29 victories, with only two losses.
“Tommy's work ethic in the gym is amazing,” Volbrecht said.
“He keeps improving all the time. He's ready to take on Froch.”
Meanwhile, Berman is pushing for the Froch-Oosthuizen fight to feature on a high-profiled, televised bill in October.
Even if Froch's handlers are not forthcoming with the offer made to them, it is almost certain Oosthuizen will return to the United States to face another opponent on the October programme after a brief break from training in South Africa in the interim.
Oosthuizen beat Bryant after the judges handed the talented South African a victory by seven and eight points.

Ousthouzen does not deserve the shot at this point. Froch will dismantle him but I guess if Froch needs a stay busy fight, he could do worse than Ousthouzen. Froch should get to setting up Froch/Pavlik. That would be more worthwhile and entertaining than the aforementioned fight.

At least the IBO champ isn't trying to hide somewhere and protect his belt for 8 years. I agree he doesn't quite deserve it, but I wouldn't mind seeing a fresh face against one of the top guys.

Well said. I was at his fight against Bryant and yes he has some flaws but he could give Froch some problems. The kid is 6'4 and has good reach and a great jab. I can see Froch winning by decision but I don't think he can knock him out. He took Bryant's best punches and he kept coming.

This is my recap and some pics of that fight --> http://boxingbb.com/...ul-in-nyc-debu/

I think Froch will take some time to gain momentum, but Oosthuizen will find himself in too deep of waters late and get stopped. I'll say in the 10th round.

well the South African passed on the fight...I think they realized he is simply not ready for Froch. He should be fighting guys like Don George, Miranda, etc.

He might not be ready but no shame in loosing to Froch. I liked the fight, we don't see enough of the big names being tested by young up an comers these days. Its either to big a risk with little reward for the veteran or in this case the young fighter doesnt want to risk a L on his record and be setback. They usually take the easier route.

I'm glad Oosthuizen turned down the fight. He's not ready for the elite yet. He should concentrate of getting to world level first.

It sounds like Nicholson Poulard (Jean Pascal's brother) could be next for Froch. He was victorious this past weekend and has said he's had an offer. I think it's a great fight for both guys.

Lucian Bute says he wants a tune-up before a rematch with Froch and this would be a good tune-up for Froch.

I hope Froch gets a fight like this because i think it will be an easier fight for him and give him an easy night's work for first time in 5 years.
